Are you looking for a 2009 Mazda RX-8?

Q: How much would it cost to repair the back window of a 2009 Mazda RX-8 model?
I accidentally got a crack into someones car, and the crack is only 2 inches long but they told me repair would be 200 dollars. How much would it really be?

A: you can’t fix it, it needs to be replaced. You can call a local glass shop and ask them, but $200 sounds about right to me.

Q: Should I get a 2009 Mazda RX-8, a 2009 MINI Cooper, or a 2009 Nissan 370Z?
I Don’t have a very high budget, so I would get the touring RX-8, the Cooper S, or The 370Z Basic.

A: 370Z all the way. The RX-8 is gutless, and the MINI is front wheel drive, which is unacceptable in a car with sporting pretensions.

Q: I traded my Mazda RX-8 for a 2009 Mazda Miata…good or bad decision?
I loved my 2008 RX-8 GT but it got 16 mpg overall. This was un-acceptable to me even though i know the rotary engine very well and knew it wouldnt be getting good mpg. I finally cracked and bought a 2009 “leftover” Mazda Miata sport. It listed for $25,258 and I got it for $19,958 plus $19,000 for my trade. The mpg will be almost double in the Miata and my loan interest rate is much less at 4.25% for 4 years. And my insurance will be $171 less. So I will be saving money 4 ways: lower payment, lower interest rate, better mpg and lower insurance. The car isnt nearly as powerful as my RX-8 though…any thoughts? Did I make a good choice or not?
The car had 20 miles on the odometer when I drove it, I bought it the same day.

Wow, the more I read the better it gets…The Mazda Miata is the most track raced car in the world! More than any other model or brand.

A: I have to say good choice.
As for power, think about taking the money you save and investing some of it in what I call smart up-grades. Things like a free flow intake, exhaust, and light weight fly wheel. Maybe even look into getting a spare engine to have blue printed.
I still don’t understand the resentment some express by calling a Miata a girls car! Because it is not, it is what I call a drivers car. True when I truly want to humiliate a male pony car driver, I let my wife drive it instead of me. Maybe it is my sporting blood that makes me do that after all I want them to at least stand a chance of keeping up on the mountain roads where we live.
I own two 90’s by the way, and I will sell them when they pry my dead hands off of the steering wheel. One for the summer and one to drive in the winter.

Q: Whats faster a Mazda Rx-8 2009 or a Audi TT Roadster 2004?
I have no clue about cars I just wanna know how fast each one goes.

A: Can’t tell you about the engine capacities or BHP’s of the Mazda but I can tell you for sure that there is NO comparison between the two vehicles with regard to build quailty and class! The Mazda is a cheap, nasty brand and the price differential between the two brands illustrates this perfectly!
However, the Audi TT was produced in 1.8 and 2.0 Turbo’s with 180+225bhp and also the 3.2 V6 engine at the time.

A: every october 1 of every year, they get the new cars for the year coming… so october 1st of 2008 the 2009 mazda rx8 comes out

A: Tell you everything? Well, that’s too much of a task

RX8 with 6 speed manual transmission: 232 HP based on new SAE ratings (238 on older system). Top speed roughly 150 MPH. 0-60 in 5.9 seconds. Rated 1.3L Wankel “Renesis” Rotary engine. 9000 RPM red line. True 4 seater w/suicide doors and no “B” pillar for easy rear seat entry. Actually has a decent trunk, unlike most of its competitors.

RX8 with 6 speed automatic tranny w/sequential shift on steering wheel. Only 212 HP, 7000 RPM red line. About 7.2 second 0-60. Not sure of top speed as most people who buy the auto drive like granny’s.

A: You’ll probably get very biased info from people who would obviously choose one over the other due to their taste. I’d have to say that you should choose very wisely because who knows if the gas prices next year will be as good as this year. If you haven’t noticed the gas prices are starting to slowing go back up.

Q: Anyone know about the interior of a mazda rx-8?
Does anyone know why the trim of the interior of the mazda rx-8 the new 2009 why the leather and trim of the interior comes only in black and not like the old ones where if it was a red car it would be black and red trim. Does anyone know why this changed? or are they still making the cars with the colored trim?

A: you can still get the inner trim based on the model you get for example the grand touring version of the 2009 has leather seats and colour coded door insets etc
the other versions have cloth seats but at a dealership they can put the leather seats in at extra cost :)

Q: 2009 Honda Civic Si or 2007 Mazda RX-8?
which one would you choose?

A: Based on being a great sports car? The Si doesn’t even compare with the RX8. The 8 has great looks, a cracking Renesis Rotary (just make sure you give it the extra TLC it deserves), and it’s more practical (Because the Si I believe is a coupe whereas the RX8 is a 4-door car, the back doors are suicide doors, and suicide doors are cool). As a city commuter though I wouldn’t have either of them. Rotaries tend to prefer higher revs which makes things hard when you’re constantly starting and stopping in a busy city, and the Civic is the equivalent of a nerd’s acne. Deep down it’s quite smart, but it’s ugly as f***. I’d go with an Infiniti G35 or G37 for the start/stop daily commuter. Highly awarded V6 combined with BMW luxuries for half the price of one. As a sports car the RX8 is better.

Q: What are your opinions on the Mazda RX- and is it worth buying?
I’m 21 years old and is planning on buying my first vehicle..I been really interested in sports cars and coupes and so I feel in love with the Mazda RX- 2004-2009 models and was wondering if it was worth it? also what would be a reasonable down payment on a pay range of 11,944 to 18,899. I’m only interested in the Automatic transmission and if there are any mazda rx-8 drivers out there feel free to inform me on your experience with this vehicle.

A: To a driver who knows how to operate a RX-8 they are worth it. As a matter of fact, nothing else will do!
Now if you want a car that does not take a lot of thinking, no it is not worth it.
Most of the problems reported with the RX8 come back to drivers who never read the owners manual on how to operate the thing.
The RX8 is a piece of exotic engineering and needs to be treated as such. No short drives, always using the hot start or cold start sequence as needed, and aways letting the engine idle down before turning the ignition off.
If you feel that these things are a pain to remember, just get a different car.

A: Mazda RX-8 is much better and cooler looking. And has a 9mph higher top speed, but the Mustang GT accelerates faster.

Q: Super charger or Turbo charger on Rotary Engine?
I e-mailed Mazda two days ago and they still haven’t gotten back to me yet. So I decided to ask anyone. I was wondering, can Supercharger or Turbocharger can be installed on a rotary engine? I would imagine so, but maybe it has to be specially made. Specifically can one be attached to a 2009 Mazda RX-8 R3?
Also, does anyone happen to know the 0-60 time on the ‘09 RX-8? Top speed?

A: The engines rev high to produce their HP and don’t make a ton of torque, as such I would suggest you turbo the car. Super’s need the engine torque to be effective.
