The rumor is that the GT mustang will have a 302 engine. Is this a stroked moduler? Or is it the 302 5.0 engine?? You know the old mustang motor.

A: Stroked 4.6 modular motor. They dropped the old 302 in the mid 90’s because it was very old and couldn’t meet the new (at the time) emissions. Almost 15 years later it isn’t even competitive with the new engines.

A: I have a 2010 Challenger R/T and I have raced many Mustangs and have NEVER lost. So those people claiming that Mustangs can beat Challengers straight up are misinformed.

Don’t get me wrong, I like Mustangs as well, but I needed a 5 seater, not a 4 seater.

I want to buy a mustang but i don’t know which to get.
2011 V6 or 2005-2009 V8
the V6 is around 23k new and the old v8 i can find for around 15-17k.
the new v6 gets 30mpg and the old v8 gets low 20’s
the both have around 300hp so which is faster?
Would it pay off in the long run to get the new V6 or get the old V8.
remember i would really like the speed but i willing to make the sacrifice if its not too much.

A: If your choice range is limited to the ‘11 V6 or the older V8’s then I’d totally go for the 2011 V6.
I would do that because of various reasons being:
1. It looks HEAPS better in my person opinion.
2. I hate the way the old one looks (again, personal opinion.)
3. I love V6’s and I bet they give you better mileage too.
4. If you can afford a brand new car then why not?
5. it’s a $6k difference for a car that is brand new, no miles, no ones farted in it before, it’s bound to not have nearly as many problems as a used car as opposed to a car that will give you lower gas mileage as well as (maybe) some problems.
In the end, the choice is for you to make and we can’t choose for you =D
If you could get any Mustang then I’d suggest you to get the 2011 Mustang 5.0.

Ive heard a little bit about it and wondering what you guys think??
i personally think theyll have them as a 50th anniversary.
i dont think theyll do an upgrade like that rite now if they were going to do a 5.0 again i think they would have done it with the new 2010’s instead of 2011.
im guessing theyll probably wiat a couple more years for the 50th anniversary.

A: I doubt they’d debut it for the 50th anniversary because that means they have to wait until 2014. People want to update the current 4.6L V8 NOW and with the Camaro boasting more horsepower in their V6, it could cost Ford some sales if they don’t hurry up with a new engine. I’d imagine that if it’s being worked on, we might see it at the end of next year or so, but it wouldn’t be wise marketing to wait 5 more years just to match up with the 50th.

Q: What Exactly does the mustang security package come with on the new 2011 besides wheel locks?
Hello i ordered a new ford mustang 2011 v6 but the dealer forgot to add the security package and the factory remote starter. they put an off brand remote starter inside. and was wondering if those after market starters tend to fail, also back to the original question. what comes extra with the security package that’s 395 besides the wheel locks? i know it has a factory alarm but ford.com don’t include any other details. any one build these things or have any answers?

Q: 2011 Ford Mustang Pricing in one year?
I’m headed to college in the fall but I will be getting a new car in May of 2011. Can anyone give me an estimate on a ‘Stang off of a year lease (a year from this point)? If you can — I’m interested in the V6 base Automatic and the V6 Premium Automatic package (maybe with Pony Package). I’m hoping to be able to lease one for 3-4 years and under $300 per month (after a $2000 down payment)… I’m hoping this is possible because I’ll be getting it off of a year lease and cars obviously depreciate. Let me know if this is possible! This is my dream car!

A: First off, wait until you graduate. Second, you should not lease- because you will not get approved, since you do have any credit history. Finally, even though the car is to be supposedly leased after a year, the residual will be low, thus the lease payment will be high.

Get yourself a reasonably priced used car, and drive it til it drops.

Motor Trend ran the two against each other and two are dead-even in the comparisons.

Do note that the Mustang is $25,000 less then the M3, has better fuel economy, and (according to Kelly Blue Book, JD Power Assoc., Consumer Reports) equal build quality, though the M3 is still a proven champ. So which will it be?

A: Well since the Mustang was only a tenth of a second slower on the course but faster/better in all of the other tests I would have to say the Mustang since it’s 20K cheaper. Then I would take that $20,000 and put it back into the Mustang and have one beastly car both in a straight line and on a road course!
